The first question you have to ask yourself is are you looking for a new home for sale or a home that is just “new to you”.?There is a big difference.

A “new home” is one that is Brand New and you are the first owner of the home, whereas if someone has already lived in the home, the home may be “new to you” but it is not a “New Home”

One of the most valuable resources you can use to find a new home for sale is a Real Estate Professional.?Most real estate professionals will have search resources on their web sites, but be cautious, although you may click on a button that’s labelled “New Home Search”, your search results most likely will be predominantly “Used Homes”.?/p>

To find New Homes for Sale, you may have to do a little research and there are many different resources available in a variety of media.

Lets look at a few of the resources available to the consumer when search for new homes for sale.

  • New Home Magazines- These are useful, however since the housing market is very dynamic, they are usually out of date by the time they hit the grocery store stands.
  • Directional Signs- A good way to find new home communities, however most roadside directional signs are just put out over the weekends and some municipalities restrict roadside community directional signs all together.
  • Builder Websites-?Most are pretty good. but it is very inefficient unless you already know which builder you want to use.?Each builder’s site will be in a different format so it is difficult to get the “Big Picture”.
  • An online new home search engine-?These are good because you can search for new homes for sale across many home builders all on one site.

A little research online will make your home search efficient and rewarding. Just be sure that if you are looking for a Brand New Home, that the search resource that you are using really is showing you New Homes for Sale.
